Texas SBE Practice Test

The Texas Education Agency translates SBOE standards into state-wide practice. The SBOE sets the TEKS, the learning standards, and TEA puts those standards into action by administering the state assessments aligned to them, offering guidance and support to districts on how to implement the standards, and applying the standards across the state’s educational system. This combination ensures consistent measurement of student learning and helps districts carry out policy and instructional guidance under the SBOE framework. The other options aren’t correct because writing or revising the TEKS is the SBOE’s job, and approving district budgets or deciding local school closures are functions handled by districts or other state processes, not TEA.
